I love you guys so much!

Wow

I'm posting from the UK! I can't even believe it myself. I would upload pics but I'm not sure I could do it. Everyone here speaks British. It is crazy. Okay here's a list of a few British words we've picked up while here.

1. Posh (how people in southern england speak)
2. Vicor (not sure)
3. Byrd (lady)
4. Bloke (dude)
5. Batty boy or bummer ( not repeatable but i think you get the idea)
6. Pants (underwear-we made some big mistakes here the first day)

There are so many others that i will let you know when i get as soon as i get back. I'm coming to school on wednesday but I have no idea how I will be considering I will have just flown accross the Atlantic. I went to Durham Cathedral today where we stood where they filmed some Harry Potter scenes. So there's many a picture of me in my gryfindor scarf, feeling like Ron. We are going to Scotland on Monday and I should hope to see some redheads there. Pray that we have a safve flight home and that I sleep on it. Also I apologize if any of us sound really annoying we when get home 'cuase this accent thing picks up easy when the people can't understand American. so posh!

Soaring high

So it's finally finished. I had my Eagle Court of Honor today and many of you guys came and supported. I really appreciated that, more than words can express. It was far more emotional than I had anticipated but of course there I was sitting on a stool in front of twenty crying people and I had not one tear in my eye nor anything really to say. So typical! Next time I really feel like crying I going to bring packets of water the squirt in my eyes so that way I can join the normal people who get, what do you call it, oh yeah, emotional. I am so very proud of our forensics team mainly becuase we won 1st in sweepstakes this weekend at the Cookeville Invitational. I am very happy that we have such an awesome team that is not only talented but also good looking. I found the funnies thing since sliced bread. Broccoli on a knife! Try it, you'll laugh out loud. I'm leaving for England in less than two weeks and I am somewhat terrified. Pray for me and our team as we prepare to cross the pond and talk to scary British kids.

The Red Coats are Coming!

I'm totally obsessed right now and it's not healthy at all! This year has been an overload of everything British. In English IV, the whole curiculum is based on British literature. I decided to finally get caught up with Harry Potter and it has oficially temperarily taken over my life. Not to metion I just happen to be going to England on a mission trip in October. So I might actually implode from the Rowling, to Shakespear, to Beowulf, to the Goblet of Fire movie coming out in November. What in the blazes is going on here.?

Going Postally Insane!

An update on the passport issue. I went back in to apply again and low and behold the same ladies were there and ofcourse two humans such as mom and myself stick out rather awkwardly with out flamboyent red hair. The ladies remembered us and most likely my outrage and gave us looks of disgust. I then realized I was wearing the exact same shirt and pants I had worn the previous time I was in this post office. So not only does this woman think I'm a snotty teenager, she also thinks I don't bathe or change clothes or know my right from my left. This next part is the best. When signing for a passport to have to take and oath and living in the world that we do you have to raise your RIGHT HAND. Obviously I was too buisy making sure the other lady knew I was still mad at her, to pay attention, so I raised my left hand and said "yeah, what?" I'M LEFT HANDED, IT'S THE ONE I USE I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLEDGE AND OATH WITH IT! By this point I looked like a complete idiot and I"m sure my passport with get lost in the mail by "accident." Yeah and hurricane Katrina is a baller!

Going Postal!

It is now official that I hate the postal service of America. My mom and I went today to get my passport. You have to go to Franklin to get it 'cause that's the only place they allow you to get it in Williamson Co. so ofcourse it's out of the way. We had to go to Walgreens to pick up my pictures for the passport and that took like 20 minutes. Then we got to the post office and the lady told us very sweetly, "we don't do passports after four" I thought "what the crap?!" she said that although the office was open till five they had decided to only allow passports 'till four. It was only four-twenty and they still would take out application. I told that lady that I had to go to school for seven hours and day and that since the government controlled both the post office and the school system that I would expect a note for the postal service allowing me to miss school for such an occasion. She laughed and said "I have to go to work too" I growled and stormed out yelling, so she could hear me, "Yay for gas prices, yay post office, go government." I am thoroughly upset by all this and I have the government at the moment, or at least the post office branch.

VICTORY!

Well, folks. It finally happened. The cable man finally came and my family is now blessed with high speed internet. Yes. It's true I've been behing the times forever. But now i can watch trailors and movies and steal music even faster. Just kidding. I would never steal music. I let my friends do that. And a week of school is almost over and Senior year has begun. But as my dear friend Lauren Sampsell loves to remind me, "No one cares about your life that much." This is how she feels about blogs and the fact that we share pointless information about our lives. I like it anyways.

Thursday, August 11, 2005

It's that time again.

I am at work right now which obviously means blogging time. I officially start school in three days which means the end of life as we know it once again. I am thoroughly excited about the theater classes and math(?) but as for english....... well I haven't really finished summer reading becuase Harry Potter has really taken over my life hopefully i can get a pic of me reading in my lovesac. The book matches my cover. No I didn't set that up it just happened by luck. I apologize for the extremely boring post.

Into the Woods

It's good to know that you always have to people to fall back on. People who are there to build you and and remind you that you matter. Tonight the Chicago team go back together at the infamous Baker residence to catch up and look a pics. It was good to reconnect( in the words of Jay Strother) with the people I had gotton to know so well last week. It is really comforting to know that people in your family care and they are there to be just that, family. I want to let everyone know how ironic I think life is. I believe that God created irony and uses it on a day to day basis just to mess with us. As a four year veteren of the RHS forensics team I have led the raptors in our black and red tees to boo Brentwood, but as fate would have it, I am now increasingly interested in UCLA, home of 30,000 students and the blue and gold Bruin! What are the odds? Apparently better that I thought.

We're Baaaaack!

It is a bitter sweet reunion with home. It is amazing to me how much God can do in one lifetime let alon a week. I now feel better prepared to tackle this last year. And I now know that even though I'm not sure where I will go to school next year I will be placed exactly where I should be. I am also amazed at the sheer grandure of not only Chicago but the world. (once again) For a city so beautiful and so large it is still very small and lost to God. "For I know the plans I have for you, to prosper you not to harm you." And on top of all that I managed to not loose my CD's or my Bible.

LORD OF MERCY AND GRACE. THANK YOU. This is pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me. After the Sound of Music I was sure to get a picture with my two favorite nuns Catherine and Jordan. I think my life is now complete after I not only posed with nuns but got kissed BY TWO at the same time. Thank you everone at the make a wish foundation for making this lifelong dream come true. Posted by Picasa

This is a sad day for humanity. As Seth ends his blogs he ends a little peice of everyones blog. Even for those of us who weren't links on his blog, we depended on his to keep us going. Now I think aliens really will come to earth and extenguish us.

Today is our country's birthday and today is also the day where my family pays homage to its Carni heritage. So we are taking our talents to Crockett park to raise money for the good ole Forensics team. So if Cotton Candy and Sno Kones are your things than come and enjoy the benifites of the Carni way of life.

War of the Bats

What a great Thursday! I saw War of the Worlds and Batman. How awesome? Well Speilberg managed to scare the crap out of me again. Like I might putWOTW a few spaces below Jurassic Park in scariness. Even E.T. scared me! But not A.I. I stood strong in that one. I think it's going to be several weeks before I stop surveying the mountains for tripods. And I just want to say that the basement scene was genious and pretty much the scariest thing this side of the Mississippi. As for Batman, I totally loved it. I apologize for not giving him enough credit. He kicks. But my question is, will there be another Bat movie from this guy? I mean last time I checked there were 52 cards in a deck and we only got one in the end.

It's never going to happen. 10 years spent in vain.

I know it's stupid, but I was overrun. Just do this. And so you know the quiz is out of 90% cause I have three not four dogs.

Oh the possiblities.

I've been doing to much thinking lately. That's what summer does to me. I have too much time to really think about my pointless life. I have spent entirely too much time at the Sac. It's getting to me. I'm starting to make terrible sexual innuendoes concerning sacs. Well not really but doing absolutely nothing for 7.25 and hour is not all it's cut out to be. To many decision do I have to make in the next year. Mrs. Johns had a quote in her room all year that I thought was stupid. "If you knew you wouldn't fail what would you try?" Now I feel like I am breathing that quote everyday. OH , the things I would love to try if I knew I wouldn't fall flat on my face. If only chasing dreams were that easy. You know what? I'm proud! 'Cause this is the first sappy, emotional, highschool, teenager blues, entry I've ever bloged. Now I feel part of the family and 15 years old. I like it!

Friday, June 24, 2005

It's been almost a year since I was abruptly struck in the head with a quorball thrown by Patrick Hunter. The only reason I was included in the picture is becuase I was injured. I am really excited about our trip to Chicago this summer. However I am also scared becuase those buildings are really tall. No one seems to get it, but things just shouldn't be that tall. It makes it really easy to fall down. Tyler Torti threw me on the ground a total of 37 times last night for Seth's Arbor Days. I loved it! Well not the getting thrown part but being in it altogether is exciting. I've made a decision about my future and let's just say I'm gonna need a lot of moral support and shellfish.  Posted by Hello

Friday, June 17, 2005

This week was Sack Lunch week at church and my 9 year old sister took the photography thing they had going on there and this was her best picture or so I think. These are the moments when I love her the most. (When she takes an extremely close picture of some strange lady's eyeball). Oh how the years do fly. I am interested to see Batman Begins even though I was never a bat fan, I was all about Peter Parker and his spider-like skills. If you think about it, the idea behind batman is just dumb. He is associated with one of the most hated creatures on the planet, but so is Spidey. However the difference is bat's are blind and spiders have like eight eyeballs. It's an 8:0 ratio. Spidey would win on any given day or night for that matter. And what exactly can Batty do, I mean I'm no huge fan so I don't know everything he can do, but he kind of just stands there in his extreme rubber and punches people. Spidey has webs! What's better than webs? I'm not bashing Batman. I mean he's got the coolest costumea and I love bats. And he has the best vehicles. And he is way, way better than Superman. Because there's nothing super about changing in a telephone booth.  Posted by Hello

This is what I live for! I'm so stupid and I love it. Why isn't that worth anything on a college application. I just don't understand. Summer is slowly slipping out of my clutches and there is nothing I can do about it. (as usually). So I get used to it and realize that I am growing up. Life sucks. (with the exception of nuns) Amy,Emma, Ashley and Ashley are all moving right about now. I hate it Kate. Speaking of Kates, Mrs. Donnely made feel a lot better about college and the fact that I might be able to go. Anyways Forensics party is soon make plans to attend. X & Y is amazing. I bought sixty dollar tickets to see them in concert and I don't even care. I'll probably go naked. Which means that only one light is needed and it points at me so that way the reflection will bounce off for everyone to see. Saves a love of energy. Just like hybrids!. Joy to the world.  Posted by Hello

Gosh, well okay.

Gaaahhh I'm really mad that I can't get my pictures to work. If someone knows how to fix my aol picture finder or hello or something let me know before I start world war three. Speaking of wars there's a bad one in Iraq and I get to read war of the worlds for summer reading. Score. Also the coolest thing happened today. At work Katelyn and I had to close all by ourselves and I had to count the drawer three times and it still wasn't right but that wasn't the good part. Seth and Arly came in today. (by the way seth and I wear the same clothes) and he was talking about the new film he wants to create this summer and he asked me to be in it and I"m steller excited. If this is as close as I get to film I"ll die a happy man. I don't care if I have to run around naked with my nipple on fire I get to be in a Worley film. Woo hoo. I rained today. Way to go God! I love it.

Okay so my pictures from Star Wars aren't woking but for the purposes of this entry let's pretend there is a picture ok Anakin Skywalker with scary yellow eyes in the place of our friend David the Gnome. So the deal is I saw the movie and ofcourse I loved it. My only complant is not even a complant. It was so completely sad. After watching it I said to myself that I wouldn't be able to watch it again but I later thought that it is supposed to be the tragedy in the series. There is no other episode more tragic. The main character turns evil and slices himself a nice big helping of little kid. It's just sad. I mean I loved it but I wanted to cry almost 112 times. I counted. Oh gosh and Padme, love of my life, well I'll save that for later in case someone hasn't seen it. All in all it was very epic and very necesesary for people like me, who need closure. Poeple say that this was Lucas' masterpiece and it probably was but I can't say that the episode is my favorite. It's just too heartbreaking. Well know this.... David is currently protecting my garden from stupid bunnies. They come and eat my poor young plants for no good reason. So untill I buy a shotgun David is standing gard.  Posted by Hello

Popcorn, Prom, and Sweet Potatoes

So I really hate that I haven't bloged in a while but it's been crazy and well I've been really stupid. I can't wait to find out what the musical is. Mrs. Smith is about to tell us becuase of really strange circumstances. Also I am determined (once again) to buy a chinchilla. Taylor is buying one and I am buying the other and they are going to have babies and we are going to sell them for coats. Well not coats but pets. Maybe both. I'm going to Page's prom with Amber and I am about to pull my hair out becuase of prom parties and what not. Ugh oh well I hate that I will be a senior next year I'm already senior sliding and I don't want to go to college. My guidance counselor is being supportive of my desires of becoming a film maker but I know I will amount to nothing therefor I am taking two theater classes next year like a real dork. I want to go to New York. I hate life but love it at the same time. Amy Wilson and Emma Rosencrantz are moving. Pretty much the dumbest thing ever. Ok that's the hate life part. But I do love cheetos. Ugh so many choises, so many decisions, and so much change. Hamlet.

Home is where the heart is.

Last Saturday we spanked Brentwood at the District Forensics tournament. We came in first overall and our reader's theater and one act also recieved first place. Woohoo. This Saturday I finally finished my eagle project. I was so excited I couldn't sleep the night before. Thanks to everyone that came out this weekend. I really appreciate it. Some of the better pictures were took with the disposable camera so we will have to wait for those, but here are some so you can see the playground. It turned out pretty well. I'm so happy. This is one of the last steps before I can get my Eagle. All I have left now is some really I will be praying pretty hard that ten years of scouting doesn't blow up in my face. This is the second time I've had to write this entry so I'm going to cop out by saying $#%^.

The Easter Bunny is stupid

District Forensics Tournament '05 is coming up baby and Ravenwood is ready to answer the mighty call of Brentwood. Yeah so I'm totally excited about this weekend when we will be competing. Lara and I are doing our Duet Acting peice and Reader's Theater is going well. Thank the Lord in Heaven Almight He Reigns forever. It just got off to a ruff start but I think it's going well. Bye Bye Birdie is also going well especially my new dance moves. The star of show thinks I'm a good dancer. Yes. Students school has been cancelled on account of a pancake! Yesssssss! FYI: Danny Sierra can do a like fifteen back hand springs in a row and no one new. He is totally teaching me this summer and there is nothing anyone of you can do about it. I'll just be a crazy back hand spring fool. Ugh I hate prom!

Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

This week has been really strange. I've been so busy that I have completely lacked on my homework in every class. I knew it was getting bad when I had forgotten where Wisconsin was. All I could picture was Michigan and Minnesota and no Wisconsin. Luckily a quick peep at the map in Mr. Boyds room fixed the conundrum. Ugh. I'm having acting problems. I'm realizing this Hugo thing is a little harder than it looks. The kids like a prepubest ball of corny. Forensics is in a slump as well. My Duo with Lara is alright but it's not to competition level yet and my storytelling is still about five minutes long. The only reason people like is becuase I shoot eggs out of my butt. And my DI peice can now be labeled without a doubt (unmemorized). I had all my Hugo lines memorized. All ten! Yeah Baby.

Yay for pictures of ice. I wish that would happen here. I have been thinking about how The Village has been nominated for an Academy Award in best original score. This was after Clint told me that it probably wouldn't win becuase he is the crusher of dreams with no taste for anything having to do with art, science, and anything having to do with art and science. James Newton Howard has been nominated like 6 times and never won, so he's got it comin'. Also I know the Academy frowns on movies like the Passion yet they put it in there for some technical awards. Here are some reasons why. 5. Poor Jim Cavisel got struck by a lightning bolt. 4. It rained a lot during shooting. 3. They had to speak wierd languages that no one understands. 2. Satan was just so dang creepy. 1. They are all scared they are going to hell if they don't give the Jesus movie some kind of award.

This is Mamasota. (also a homie) Posted by Hello

So these are some homie pics that I downloaded last semester for a spanish project and I thought everyone might enjoy them. I everyone should be really excited becuase yes, it happened, The Village was nominated for an Oscar!!!!!!!!! YES "free at last, free at last" It's nominated for best original score and oh baby is this score good. This is James Newton Howard's fourth score for M. Night so he deserves some credit. On another note we are finishing up the writing process for Reader's Theater '05 and are done with casting. We hope for another win over the deminishing giant BHS and a state placement. Eat your heart out Brentwood forensics, "The Frog Princess" is comin' to town. We've got a few new faces on board and I'm really excited. Hey for all those who don't attend this thing called high school, come the the "Whose line is it Anyway" night on Tuesday. It's gonna rock and our team needs money. Forever is a word we give tomorrow______________. ( complete the poem for puntos de pasion).  Posted by Hello

Robert Frost never went on a Thespian trip.

Some say Robert Frost, would write a poem at any cost, some say fire and ice would have been cheap at twice the price, but i say though something of it, this poem of his just ain't worth @#$*. Now before you all freak out about my use of language know that these aren't my words they are Susan Conner's in The Girl in the Mirror. This was our one act for Theater II and it was very good if I may say so myself. I directed it. It was actually this first really play I've ever directed by myself. It was so much fun. Way better than acting! I have rediscovered my love for nuns when Emma Rosencrants bought me a "Nuns having fun" calendar for Christmas. Don't worry it's not too bad. I also received a boxing nun, whose habitt sometimes comes off, from Kendra Gieir. Just to let everyone know after that entry about Micah. I know consider myself in his leage of expertise. Well.. at least in english. I made a 91 on one of my prompts on the exam and that's only like 9 points away from his average. So read 'em and weep Micah. Mitch isn't that dumb after all. I went to Memphis this weekend with my thespian troupe. (Yes, we are a troupe spelled with and "e") Unfortunately I didn't see any Elvis impersonators but I did see about 900 crazy theater kids play "Show me how you jigilo" in the halls of Cordova High School. Until next time just go ahead and show everyone how you jigilo.

I haven't blogged in a while. This was largely due to The Crucible then the whole school and now this strange concept called work. I work at Lovesace now and over break ( if you've wondered where i've been) I have put in over 90 hours. Above is an extremely confusing sign that is the CEO of the entire lovesac corporation. So basically he's my boss. Shawn Nelson (the guy) created the lovesac then decided to make a multi-million dollar company out of it. Now he's on the Rebel Billionare competing to win Virgin. While making me work like a mad leprechaun. But if he wins everyone will get complimentary cell phones and a cd of thier choice when purchasing a lovesac. (still extremely expensive) Posted by Hello
